Making the Kidbrooke Park Road & Pegler Square Road Junction safer (Oct 2023)

Dear Clive,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am a resident of Kidbrooke Village, Greenwich. I am writing to bring your urgent attention to a recurring issue that jeopardizes public safety — the hazardous design of a specific road junction in our community.
Since relocating to Kidbrooke Village in 2020, I have been alarmed by the frequency of severe traffic accidents at this particular junction. To my recollection, there have been at least 3 to 5 fatal incidents over the last three years, which is an unacceptable frequency.
The underlying issue appears to be a flawed road design that exposes both motorists and pedestrians to unnecessary risks. The problematic junction is located on a 30mph road immediately following a sharp curve from the 50mph A2 road. The abruptness of the turn often prevents drivers from sufficiently reducing their speed to 30mph as they approach the junction. Furthermore, the construction of high-rise apartments at Kidbrooke Square exacerbates the problem by obscuring the sightlines for drivers coming from the A2, further diminishing their ability to anticipate pedestrians crossing the road.
The toll of human suffering due to this inadequate road design is heartbreaking. Lives have been lost or irrevocably altered, a reality that myself and many local residents find deeply troubling and wish to rectify.
I kindly request your guidance on the best course of action for advocating the necessary changes to this dangerous junction. Is there scope to reconsider its layout, or should we focus initially on implementing additional safety measures? Your expert advice would be invaluable in steering our community toward a safer future.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this critical matter. I look forward to your timely response.
Sincerely,

Energy Price Guarantee Template (Mar 2023)

Dear Clive,
I am writing to express my deep concern over the recent increase in price from our district heating provider. As you may be aware, this increase has been attributed to the provider considering our property as commercial, rather than residential, and thus not being affected by the Ofgem cap. With Eon, cost is rising from 5.82p per kWH to 15.03 per kWh. The yearly service charge is also rising from 371.84 to 421.81.
As a constituent, I find it unacceptable that the provider can exploit this loophole to charge exorbitant prices for their services, leaving residents like me struggling to pay our bills. This is especially concerning as district heating is often marketed as a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative to individual heating systems.
I urge you to take action and raise this issue in Parliament, calling for a review of the regulations and for greater protection for residential customers. It is crucial that all residents have access to fair and affordable heating options, and this can only be achieved by closing these loopholes and ensuring that companies are held accountable for their actions.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
